Obituary for Allen Juel Olson

Allen Juel Olson, age 76, of Fort Wayne, Ind. was welcomed to his heavenly home on December 25, 2022.
He was born in Madison, WI. on February 8, 1946, to the late Juel Leroy and Edna Annabelle (Severson) Olson.
Allen worked in a wire mill for over 20 years and was a painter by trade for many more years.
He was very supportive of his wife’s involvement in many dairy goat projects including being a founding member of the Tri-State Dairy Goat Association and forming the 4-H dairy goats of DeKalb Co. Indiana. He took great pride in their homestead in Spencerville, Ind. where they raised their four children.
He loved being with his children; whether it be renovating homes, having coffee and sweets, watching the Packers or relaxing on the porch watching wildlife. He also enjoyed being with family and friends wherever he traveled whether it be reunions, parties, or vacations. He was particularly fond of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always kind, gentle and generous.
Allen was united in marriage on June 27, 1964 to Glenda Jewell Godt. They were married 58 years and have four children, all surviving: Rebecca (Joe) Coats of Butler, Ind., Robert (Jan) Olson of Orlando, Fl., Jennifer (Rob) Maugel of Leo, Ind., and Jared (Dawn) Olson of Westville, Fl.
Allen is survived by his wife and children along with two sisters, Jan (Jerry) Sanden, and Pat Groshong and a sister-in-law Ginny Olson.
Allen is also survived by his 11 grandchildren: Emily, Tessa, Robert Jr, Christina, Mae, Sa’Miya, Lindsay, Seth, Kati, Josiah, and Chelsea; 11 Great-grandchildren: Weston, Ellie-Jo, Benson, Russell, Gracie, Lily, Camila, Zion(due anytime), Jaida, Zoey, Athena. He also had many beloved step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Randy Olson and Larry Olson; sisters Mary Scholl and Maxine Burke.
A memorial service for Allen will take place on January 6th, 2023 at 6 pm with visitation 2 hours prior beginning at 4 pm, at Headwaters Church, 2000 N. Wells St. Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Preferred memorials in Allen's honor may be directed to the Olson Family to assist with funeral expenses, Headwaters Church in Fort Wayne, or Shepherd's Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas.
