Alfred “Spud” Parker Goff, 85, of Auburn, went Home to the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born to the late Shelton and Mary Katherine (Glover) Goff in Decherd, TN. He graduated from Huntland High School in Huntland, TN. Spud proudly served in the U.S. Army. He married Susan Claycomb in Fort Wayne on September 5, 1999. He owned and operated Goff Masonry for 40 years. Spud attended Blackhawk Ministries.
Spud is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Susan; daughter, Cindy (Billy) King of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Cindy (Kerry) Springer of Howell, MI; grandchildren, Ashley (Zach) Baron, Alexis (Nathan) Dove, Kelsey, Hannah and Joshua Springer; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Lura B.) Goff, Earlene Judge, Kay (Leon) Clark, and Brenda Stephens. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Goff; grandson, Tyler Springer; and siblings, Camille Boren, Jean Beavers, Jeanette Bridges, Elbert “Buddy” Goff, Ray Goff, and Docia Bishop.
Funeral service will be on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Blackhawk Ministries (7400 E. State Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815) at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will take place at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blackhawk Ministries Legacy or Huntland High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
